Nalanda DM’s Vehicle Gets Stuck in Mud During Village Visit, Viral Video Highlights Ground Reality of Rural Roads
Nalanda District Magistrate Udita Singh’s official vehicle became stuck in mud while returning from a government outreach camp in Barada village after heavy rainfall. Villagers and security personnel jointly pushed the vehicle free. The viral video has sparked widespread discussion over the condition of rural roads and government infrastructure.
According to available information, Nalanda District Magistrate Udita Singh and Superintendent of Police Bharat Soni had visited Barada village to review the progress of government welfare schemes and listen to public grievances. The district administration had organized a public assistance camp where senior officials interacted directly with residents, reviewed the implementation of government schemes, and heard complaints raised by villagers.
After the assistance camp concluded, the District Magistrate’s convoy began its return journey. However, continuous rainfall had turned the unpaved road into a stretch of thick mud. As the official vehicle moved forward, it became deeply stuck, with its wheels spinning without gaining traction. The driver made repeated attempts to free the vehicle, but the poor condition of the road prevented it from moving.
Security personnel at the scene then joined efforts to pull the vehicle out of the mud. When repeated attempts failed, nearby villagers came forward to assist. Local residents and security personnel worked together, pushing the vehicle from both the front and rear. After considerable effort, the vehicle was finally freed from the mud, allowing the convoy to continue its journey.
People present at the scene recorded the entire incident on their mobile phones, and the footage has since spread rapidly across social media platforms. The viral video shows the rain-soaked road covered in thick mud, the District Magistrate’s vehicle stranded, and several people collectively pushing it until it slowly moves forward.
The administration has not issued any separate official statement regarding the incident. Nevertheless, the video has become a subject of widespread discussion on social media.
The incident unfolded while the District Magistrate was inspecting government welfare schemes and hearing public grievances, forcing the administrative convoy to experience the same road conditions faced daily by local residents. During the incident, villagers readily extended assistance to the administration, joining security personnel to help free the stranded vehicle. Residents said everyone worked together to manage the situation during a difficult moment. While many social media users have praised the villagers for their timely assistance, others have linked the incident to the deteriorating condition of rural road infrastructure, highlighting the challenges faced by communities that depend on these routes every day.
